The Onyx Center will have 16 beds and be directed by a licensed drug and alcohol counselor and a clinical counselor.
It will offer an evaluation of medical, physical, psychological, family and social well-being; individualized treatment plans; alcohol and drug prevention education; case management; peer support; orientation and involvement in recovery programs; individual and group therapy sessions; relapse management and prevention; referral to the facility’s medication-assisted treatment program; and one year of extended aftercare and support.
The center is a sister program to RiverValley’s Amethyst Center, another 16-bed facility specifically for women. It will open May 25.
