Discovery Behavioral Health, a treatment center network specializing in substance use and eating disorders based in Irvine, Calif., opened a new residential facility, Horizon Hills, in Malibu, Calif.
The new beachside facility provides medically assisted detox, an evidence-based treatment for drug or alcohol misuse. The center also adheres to DBH's Cliffside Malibu brand, which its website describes as "the premier luxury alcohol and drug rehab program in California."
The center offers on-site chefs to make meals specialized to each patient's personal and dietary preferences. Other amenities include massages and acupuncture, yoga and breathwork, gym memberships and access to a certified fitness instructor, and outings catered to each patient's interests, according to Cliffside Malibu's website.
Additionally, each patient has a private room with an ocean view. However, a patient can request a "private casita" if they wish to have their own living room, kitchen, laundry and a 180-degree ocean view, according to a July 12 news release from Discovery Behavioral Health.
