Addiction treatment facility named after NBA legend opens in Milwaukee

A new substance abuse center has opened in Milwaukee, CBS affiliate WDJT reported March 12.

Vin Baker Recovery, named after the former Milwaukee Bucks player and current assistant coach, will offer counseling and state-approved medical assisted treatment for Milwaukee residents in need of addiction treatment.

Mr. Baker founded the center after his own struggles with substance use, according to the report.

The center will dispense supervised medications like methadone, suboxone and Vivitrol as a form of harm reduction. It will be able to serve up to 800 patients, the report said.
