A group of large outpatient addiction treatment providers has formed a new alliance to advocate for consistent reimbursement and metrics for addiction treatment quality.
Nine addiction treatment providers — BrightView, CleanSlate, Crossroads, Ideal Option, MATClinics, Porchlight Health, ReVIDA Recovery, SaVida and Spero Health — have joined the National Alliance for Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Solutions, according to a March 25 news release.
The nine organizations operate more than 550 facilities in 28 states. The nonprofit group will advocate for reimbursement for addiction treatment services to policymakers and payers, according to the release.
“As overdose continues to claim over 100,000 lives each year in the U.S., many treatment providers are struggling to deliver the full range of resources patients need,” Spero Health CEO Steve Priest said. “If these challenges go unaddressed, more providers will be forced to reduce services or close clinics, leaving communities without access to critical care.”
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
