20 new addiction treatment centers, programs in 2023

Here are 20 new addiction treatment centers and programs that Becker's reported on in 2023:

  1. Addiction treatment provider Eagle Healthworks will open a new addiction clinic in Bridgeport, Ohio, in the new year.
  2. Addiction treatment provider Ideal Option opened a new clinic in Baltimore.
  3. Addiction Recovery Care opened a psychiatric facility in Russell, Ky.
  4. Hays, Kan.-based High Plains Mental Health Center expanded its treatment program for substance use disorders.
  5. Arkansas Children's in Little Rock will begin construction on a first-of-its-kind center that will focus on the "impacts of the opioid crisis on the fetus, newborn and developing children.
  6. AltaPointe's Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Mobile, Ala., launched a ketamine treatment program to help transition a patient from fentanyl to addiction-treatment medicine buprenorphine.
  7. The first stabilization center in the District of Columbia opened.
  8. Franklin, Tenn.-based Landmark Recovery opened a 192-bed addiction treatment center in Westerville, Ohio.
  9. Endless Mountain Behavioral Health opened in Sayre, Pa., to offer addiction treatment services.
  10. Warriors Heart, a recovery and rehabilitation center for veterans and first responders, opened in Milford, Va.
  11. Compassion Behavioral Health opened a mental health and addiction treatment center in Hollywood, Fla. 
  12. The University of Vermont Medical Center, based in Burlington, launched an integrated addiction recovery program to address the record-high numbers of drug overdoses Vermont's largest community has been facing in 2023.
  13. Substance use treatment nonprofit Pathway Society received a $6.4 million grant to open a detox center in San Jose, Calif.
  14. Lakeview Behavioral Health, a Grand Rapids, Mich.-based mental health and substance use treatment center, launched treatment for patients with gambling addictions.
  15. Florida-based Palm Point Behavioral Health opened a substance use detox program at its Titusville location.
  16. Owensboro, Ky.-based RiverValley Behavioral Health opened an addiction recovery center specifically for men.
  17. Mental health platform ReKlame Health launched an in-home addiction medicine care program that seeks to address the increase in alcohol misuse following the pandemic.
  18. West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Hanley Center at Origins, an addiction treatment center, opened a mental health intensive outpatient program. 
  19. Tempe, Ariz.-based mental health treatment provider Reverie Mind debuted its program providing immediate care to patients in need of suboxone therapy for opioid use disorder. 
  20. Cherokee Nation unveiled its first in-house drug treatment center as part of a $100 million investment in mental health through the nation's Public Health and Wellness Fund Act.
