Baltimore-based Steps Behavioral Health has expanded its in-home applied behavior analysis therapy services in Colorado.
The expansion aims to improve access to autism therapy, early intervention programs and behavioral support for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, according to an April 29 news release from the provider. Services are now available to families across multiple Colorado communities, including Denver, Aurora and Boulder.
The organization provides therapy delivered in the home under the supervision of a behavior analyst, with individualized treatment plans tailored to each child. Programs focus on communication, social skills, learning abilities and daily living skills through structured behavioral interactions, according to the release.
Steps Behavioral Health also said it is evaluating locations for a future clinic in Colorado to complement its in-home services and expand access to care in the region.
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
