Denver-based SonderMind, a mental health provider, has launched AI Notes, a documentation tool that can reduce clinical note-taking time by 80%.

The AI-powered tool transcribes and formats therapy session notes for provider review and claim submission with client consent, according to a Sept. 16 new release. Since pilot testing began earlier this year, AI Notes has generated more than 100,000 submissions to health insurers. SonderMind reported that 88% of providers have opted in to use the tool.

SonderMind said the feature can save providers up to 90 minutes daily, enabling them to increase patient-facing time and reduce administrative burden. The company emphasized its commitment to compliance, noting that all data remain private, with no monetization and that the tool adheres to HIPPA and ISO 27001 standards.

AI Notes was reviewed by SonderMind’s internal AI governance council, which includes clinicians, compliance officers and product leaders. The company said the tool received full approval before commercial rollout.
