Care New England rolls out Butler Behavioral Health brand

Care New England has introduced a new name for care at Butler Hospital in Providence, R.I.: Butler Behavioral Health.

The rebrand reflects “the full range of behavioral and cognitive health services available at Butler Hospital,” according to a news release from the health system.

Butler Behavioral Health includes inpatient treatment and programs for anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, substance use disorders, memory conditions and movement disorders. The hospital also recently launched an express care clinic to provide faster access to psychiatric evaluation and treatment planning, according to a separate system news release.

“This new name, Butler Behavioral Health, communicates the comprehensive services that Butler has always provided,” Mary Marran, president and COO of Butler Hospital and chief administrative officer of Care New England, said in the release announcing the rebrand

. “This change helps clarify our mission and ensures patients and families understand the full spectrum of care available to them, both inpatient and outpatient.”

Founded in 1844, Butler Hospital is the only private, nonprofit, freestanding psychiatric hospital in Rhode Island and serves adults and adolescents across the region, according to the health system.
