Phoenix-based Grand Canyon University will graduate 6,344 students in behavioral health fields in the 2025-26 academic year, part of a class of 33,251 students.

The graduates are entering fields such as counseling, social work and related disciplines amid growing demand for mental and behavioral health services, according to an April 22 news release from the university. Over the past five years, it has graduated 24,841 students in behavioral health fields.

The university’s behavioral health programs are supported by a network of more than 3,000 internship sites and include “multiple entry points from entry-level support roles to advanced clinical practice.”

Academic programs are guided by 22 advisory boards made up of more than 800 industry partners to align training with workforce needs, according to the release.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
