Mishawaka, Ind.-based Lighthouse Autism Center will open an autism therapy center in Asheboro, N.C., expanding services for children and families in Randolph County and surrounding communities.

The center is expected to open in August and will serve 28 children at capacity, according to a March 27 news release. It will include four therapy pods designed for individualized and group-based learning.

The facility will span approximately 7,350 square feet and offer applied behavior analysis therapy, diagnostic testing, pre-academic learning programs and parents support resources.

Clinical Regional Director Natalie Yates will lead the center, with support from Senior Clinical Regional Director Karen Merkel. The site will be staffed by board certified behavior analysts and registered behavior technicians delivering individualized therapy programs.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
