California to invest $1.18B in behavioral health facilities: 10 largest projects

California is investing $1.18 billion across 66 behavioral health projects with several organizations receiving awards of more than $30 million to expand treatment capacity. 

Here are the 10 projects set to receive the most funding:

  2. Fred Brown’s Recovery Services (Serenity Recovery Campus): $73,400,878.62 — Completion: March 2030
  3. UCSF Health Community Hospitals (Saint Francis Hospital behavioral health expansion): $70,893,613.00 — Completion: April 2029
  1. St. Vincent Behavioral Health Campus (South Pavilion): $58,992,918.86 — Completion: November 2027
  1. Palomar Health (Palomar Health Behavioral Health Institute): $50,000,000.33 — Completion: January 2029
  1. CRI-Help (Lincoln Heights Recovery Campus Expansion): $41,325,558.00  — Completion: January 2029
  2. San Joaquin County Behavioral Health Services (SJ BeWell Campus Phase 2): $38,230,841.00 — Completion: June 2030
