San Diego-based Alter Behavioral Health has opened a 32-bed residential mental health facility in the city.
The facility is designed to provide long-term residential mental health treatment in a community-oriented environment for individuals experiencing depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and co-occurring disorders. It offers structured care and therapy services with the goal of expanding access to mental healthcare in the region, according to a March 3 news release.
The location is expected to serve as a hub for integrated care, with personalized treatment plans that combine therapy, medication management and wellness programs.
Alter Behavioral Health provides residential mental health and dual-diagnosis treatment programs across California, according to the release.
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
