Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego will receive $2 million in federal funding for pediatric mental health services through fiscal year 2026 appropriations bills.
The funding will support Rady Children’s mental health integration program, which unites primary care and mental healthcare by embedding mental health clinicians in pediatric primary care practices, according to a Feb. 20 news release from the office of Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif.
The $2 million allocation is part of over $32 million in federal funding secured for seven projects across San Diego.
