The survey polled 150 behavioral health professionals, with 53 percent of those surveyed saying that staffing will be the biggest challenge in 2023. Meanwhile, 77 percent said staffing will be the top financial strain for the year.
Reimbursement challenges were cited as the second-biggest headwind (34 percent), followed by consolidation (7 percent, regulatory changes (3 percent) and the general economic downturn (3 percent).
