Which states see the most SUD service searches?

California residents are searching online for substance use disorder recovery services more than residents in any other state, according to a new study from Margate, Fla.-based Legacy Healing Center.

The analysis examined thousands of Google search terms — including “help for drug addiction,” “alcohol abuse hotline” and “rehabs near me” — to determine which states have the highest per-capita volume of addiction-related queries. The data reflects private, early-stage help-seeking behavior in moments of urgency, according to the study.
