The partnership will increase behavioral healthcare access for Point32Health patients in Massachusetts, according to a Jan. 9 news release.

“Valera’s virtual behavioral health care solution provides a professional and convenient online platform that enables us to expand mental health services for our members, without compromising on quality,” Jill Borrelli, vice president of behavioral health at Point32Health, said in the release. “We are dedicated to providing our members, those who receive coverage through their employers, Medicare beneficiaries and those on MassHealth, with access to the mental healthcare they deserve, helping us to expand equitable access across our lines of business.”

Valera covers 37 million Americans across 20 health plans and has achieved over 70 percent depression improvement with patients, according to the release.

Point32Health is the parent organization for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
