The grant will finance new outpatient and inpatient services at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, according to the city’s website. The expansion will include 12 inpatient beds and a 24-slot intensive outpatient program.
The new facilities are projected to care for a minimum of 450 people requiring inpatient care and 900 outpatient care individuals.
A timeline for construction will be decided in early 2023.
San Francisco was one of 54 awardees in the state that received grants from CDHS for behavioral health services.
