Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth awarded $775,000 in grants to 76 nonprofit organizations across Colorado to support programs addressing the root causes of poor health.
The funding aims to expand access to preventive care, mental health services, food assistance, housing support and transportation services, according to a Nov. 13 news release from the health system. Grant recipients were selected for their community-driven efforts to improve long-term health and financial stability. The grants ranged from $1,000 to $30,000 awards.
UCHealth said that in 2024 it provided $1.3 billion in community benefits, including $568 million in uncompensated care.
