Nashville, Tenn.-based Centerstone and Springfield, Mo.-based Brightli completed their merger Nov. 3 to form the largest nonprofit behavioral health provider in the U.S.
The unified organization now employs more than 10,000 people and serves approximately 250,000 individuals annually across nine states, according to a Nov. 3 Centerstone news release.
C.J. Davis, PsyD, former Brightli CEO and current CEO-elect of Centerstone, will succeed Centerstone CEO David Guth Jr. upon his planned retirement in 2027.
“What makes this merger historic isn’t just the scale; it’s the opportunity to reach more people, invest in innovation and ensure no one faces behavioral health challenges alone,” Dr. Davis said in the release.
Over the next 14 months, Brightli subsidiaries will rebrand under the Centerstone name.
