Heard helps mental health practices manage bookkeeping, payroll and other administrative services, the report said. Therapists can sign up for $149 per month, and group practices for $249 per month, with discounted yearly subscriptions for both.

“Every hour that a therapist spends wrangling finances is an hour they’re not making money or doing work that fulfills and energizes them,” CEO Andrew Riesen said May 5.

The startup landed $1.3 million in funding in 2021.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
