San Mateo, Calif.-based mental healthcare provider Brightline has named Kari O’Rourke, MSN, as CEO, effective Dec. 2.
Ms. O’Rourke, a nurse practitioner, brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role, according to an Oct. 15 news release. She will succeed current CEO and co-founder Naomi Allen, who will become executive chair of the board of directors.
“Kari has a remarkable track record of building and scaling high-impact healthcare companies that deliver better outcomes and experiences, while increasing access to high-quality care,” Ms. Allen said. “I am confident she will successfully lead Brightline to help us reach even more families, increase access, and enhance pediatric and youth mental health.”
Brightline said Ms. O’Rourke will oversee the expansion of its hybrid care model, which offers in-person and virtual services for children, teens and families.
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
