Ms. Carvalho was also elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers, Discovery said Nov. 23. She officially steps into both roles Jan. 1.
She has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the industry. Ms. Carvalho previously served as vice president of the same division at Discovery, and as CEO of San Diego-based behavioral center Casa Palmera and other behavioral organizations.
