New York has certified 13 Community Behavioral Health Clinics, bringing the statewide total to 39.
The clinics, overseen by the New York State Office of Mental Health in partnership with the Office of Addiction Services and Supports, received federal certification in July, according to an Oct. 2 news release from Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office. Each clinic received $265,000 in state-provided startup funding.
Together, the 39 clinics are expected to serve an estimated 187,000 individuals annually. They provide integrated, person-centered care for behavioral health conditions, regardless of patients’ ability to pay.
