Douglas County, Neb., is developing a $20 million mental health center expected to be completed by the end of 2026, according to a Sept. 4 report from NBC affiliate WOWT.

The facility, which will be located in Omaha, will offer inpatient and outpatient care with six beds across two floors.

The center will provide accessible care to residents experiencing both acute and ongoing mental health conditions, Roger Garcia, Douglas County commissioner said.

The report said American Rescue Plan Act funds will be used to pay for the project.
