Charleston, S.C.-based MUSC Health will open its new $100 million behavioral health center on Aug. 25 in Florence.
The Jean and Hugh K. Leatherman Behavioral Care Pavilion will serve as a regional behavioral health hub offering a mix of triage, crisis stabilization, telehealth, outpatient and inpatient services. MUSC Health and its partners hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 11 to mark the milestone.
The pavilion will feature a Rapid Access Center for walk-in triage and assessments, expanded telepsychiatry services, 20 crisis stabilization beds, dedicated outpatient clinics for adults and children, and a 63-bed inpatient psychiatric unit. The inpatient unit includes the transfer of 23 beds from McLeod Behavioral Health Center in Darlington.
