The new clinic will offer primary and behavioral healthcare through an intensive outreach program that’s designed to fill some of the state’s shortage of mental health providers, the report said.

The health center currently doesn’t have the capacity to treat all of its prospective patients, the report said, turning away 40 to 60 people each day.

The new behavioral health clinic will help alleviate some of that pressure. It is expected to open in July, the report said.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
