Arrowhead Regional opens California’s 1st adolescent behavioral health ER

Colton, Calif.-based Arrowhead Regional Medical Center has opened a new adolescent behavioral health unit, according to an Aug. 7 LinkedIn post.

Andrew Goldfrach, CEO of the medical center, led a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the facility Aug. 7. The unit includes the first adolescent behavioral health emergency room in the state, according to the post. It will offer inpatient therapy groups and other services designed to support comprehensive healing for adolescents.

The new unit represents an investment in San Bernardino County’s mental health infrastructure and expands care for youth in the region, according to the post.
