Several former facilities of Palm Springs, Fla.-based Retreat Behavioral Health have been sold, and a deal for another site could be close, LancasterOnline reported July 24.
Retreat Behavioral Health abruptly closed in June 2024, after the company’s CEO and chief administrative officer died by suicide. The company operated inpatient behavioral health facilities in Ephrata, Pa., New Haven, Conn., and Palm Beach, Fla., in addition to several outpatient sites.
In June, Blue Cane Properties purchased the Palm Beach site for $15.6 million, the South Florida Business Journal reported. Blue Cane Properties is leasing the facility to Pompano Beach, Fla.-based Banyan Treatment Centers.
Retreat’s New Haven clinic was sold for $16 million, according to LancasterOnline.
An attorney for the investment company that owns the mortgage on Retreat’s former Ephrata site told a judge that a buyer for the property has been identified, LancasterOnline reported. The attorney did not disclose the prospective buyer.
