North Carolina behavioral center acquired

Nashville, Tenn.-based Acute Behavioral Health has acquired Kinston, N.C.-based Oakwood Treatment Center. 

The inpatient psychiatric treatment facility for adolescents was previously owned by Nova Behavioral Health, according to a June 23 news release. 

Acute Behavioral Health is a network of inpatient adolescent psychiatric facilities and outpatient behavioral programs. The company is backed by several private equity investors, according to its website
