WellSpan’s $30M behavioral health expansion: 4 details

WellSpan Health, a behavioral health system based in York, Pa., is planning a $30 million effort to expand its medical campuses in the state.

Here are four things to know about the expansion, according to a Sept. 29 news release from the company:

 

  1. The funds will be used to expand the health system’s campuses in Mount Greta and York. 

 

  1. The system is expanding its adult inpatient units by 24 beds and relocating some outpatient offices.

 

  1. The York campus will get a new unit with separate areas for different stages in patient care, larger common spaces and private and group therapy spaces.

 

  1. The expansion is projected to be complete by 2023.
