Vail (Colo.) Health opened the first inpatient behavioral health facility between Denver and Salt Lake City, The Daily Sentinel reported June 2.
The Precourt Health Center opened May 5 and has 28 beds to serve adults and adolescents experiencing acute behavioral health crises. It is staffed by 100 professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, nurses and patient care technicians.
Patients stay at the facility for an average of three days before being discharged into outpatient care. There are already more than 20 applicants on the center’s waitlist.
