Arizona hospital to reopen mental health unit

Phoenix-based Valleywise Health is reopening a 24-bed mental health unit at its behavioral health hospital in Maryvale, Ariz., KJZZ reported May 26.

The hospital had previously closed three wings due to labor shortages. The health system has since recruited enough psychiatric nurses, technicians and other staff to reopen the unit.

The unit is set to reopen May 27.
