Amae Health, an outpatient care provider for patients with serious mental illness, has expanded to New York City with the support of NewYork-Presbyterian, also based in the city.
According to an April 14 news release, Amae Health will collaborate to connect patients hospitalized at the health system’s facilities to outpatient care.
Here are three things to know:
- Amae Health will partner with NewYork-Presbyterian to initiate outpatient treatment planning while individuals are still hospitalized.
- Amae Health operates clinics in California, North Carolina and New York state to treat complex mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and severe mood disorders.
- The company has also launched a collaboration with Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital to develop a professional education for Amae Health employees, according to an April 21 news release.
