Outpatient behavioral health is the first service reopened since Sharon Regional Medical Center closed in January. The system was part of Dallas-based Steward Health Care, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May 2024.

Tenor Health Partners, a hospital turnaround company, purchased Sharon Regional in January.

Tenor Health is working with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to restore all of the hospital’s services and programs, WKBN reported.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
