Cigna’s behavioral health network doubled in size in 5 years

Insurer Cigna had a successful second quarter, with $1.6 billion pulled in for shareholders, beating Wall Street expectations, according to the company’s earnings report.

Its subsidiary Evernorth also saw a seven percent increase in revenues, year over year, to $11.3 billion. Its behavioral health network has more than doubled in size over the past five years, Cigna Senior Vice President and Head of Investor Relations Ralph Giacobbe said during the company’s Q2 earnings call on Thursday.
