The two organizations will retain their separate boards of directors, and funding to the nonprofits will remain local, according to a Feb. 11 news release.

Rosecrance Behavioral operates more than 30 locations across Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. The company offers outpatient mental health treatment and residential substance use disorder care.

North Central Behavioral operates 11 locations in central Illinois.

The affiliation will enhance the quality of care Rosecrance can offer in central Illinois, Rosecrance CEO Dave Gomel, PhD, said.

“[North Central Behavioral] brings a wealth of expertise to our network, particularly in regions where we currently lack representation,” Dr. Gomel added.
