Texas behavioral health system launches partial hospitalization program

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Lubbock (Texas) opened a partial hospitalization program for patients 18 and older, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported Feb. 3.

The program will offer specialized mental health treatment for those managing depression, anxiety, substance use disorder and other behavioral health challenges. It is for people who need comprehensive care but not constant oversight. 

It provides short-term care with group therapy, tools for symptom management and individualized plans. The facility will offer sessions at least five days a week.
