Here are three things to know:
- Talkiatry employs more than 300 psychiatrists. BetterHelp has partnerships with more than 1,000 employers and health plans. Through the partnership, BetterHelp members can receive psychiatry services.
- BetterHelp, part of Teladoc, provides direct-to-consumer virtual therapy. In July, Teladoc said it would pivot its strategy to focus on contracting directly with insurers.
- In April, Talkiatry struck a deal with HCA Healthcare, the largest health system in the U.S., to receive referrals for patients in need of urgent mental healthcare.
