A free training series will be offered to the 283,000 behavioral health and employee assistance program providers in Aetna’s network, internal clinicians and CVS Health’s licensed counselors who provide mental health courses and resources to adolescents and young adults.
The new program builds off the adult specialty suicide prevention continuing education series that Aetna and Psych Hub launched in 2021. The new, youth-focused program is concentrated on concepts from dialectical behavioral therapy. It also provides learning modules for providers.
CVS and Psych Hub also are launching a joint podcast in which youth and young adults will speak with leading mental health organizations in the U.S.
At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
