The funds would be used to support the expansion of certified community behavioral health clinics in Michigan, according to a Feb. 7 news release. This expansion aims to offer behavioral health services for 50,000 additional residents.
The proposed budget also included $7.3 million to ensure access to the Michigan Crisis and Access Line. Other proposals include $36.1 million to increase rates for behavioral health services and $8.3 million to develop reimbursement for peer-provided substance use disorder services through Medicaid, the Soo Leader reported Feb. 26.
