Youth detox facility to open in New Mexico

Serenity Mesa Youth Recovery Center in Albuquerque, N.M., is looking to open a youth detox center, ABC affiliate KOAT reported Feb. 18.

The center, which is expected to be completed at the end of February and open in a few months, aims to support the increasingly younger population of teenagers seeking addiction treatment at Serenity Mesa. The center will offer clinical and medication-based support for patients undergoing detox from substances.

Serenity Mesa is in the process of receiving licensing from the state, the report said.
