The bill would designate four pilot hospitals that would be linked to medical schools. To be designated a behavioral health teaching hospital, each facility would have to offer a variety of programs — including psychiatric residency and post-doctoral clinical psychology fellowship programs.
The four planned facilities are Tampa General Hospital and the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa; UF Health Shands and the University of Florida Medical School, both in Gainesville; UF Health Jacksonville and the University of Florida Medical School in Jacksonville; and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
