The $500,000 donation will be used to fund behavioral health workforce development programs and resources in Virginia, according to a Dec. 6 news release from the insurer.

The funds will support the Boost 200 and the Psych Nurse Practitioner Scholarship Program, both of which aim to increase the number of psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed professional counselors and licensed clinical social workers across the state.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
