The combined social services and mental health organizations will be led by Bethany President and CEO Bill Steinhauser. The merger also coincides with the retirement of Paul Blair, who served as Bridgeview’s executive director.

Each organization will maintain its corporate structure, while both will be governed by a single board of directors, according to the report.

Bethany currently employs 90 social workers, licensed therapists, educators and licensed case managers, while Bridgeview has 34 employees, the report said.

At the Becker's Fall Behavioral Health Summit, taking place November 4–5 in Chicago, behavioral health leaders and executives will explore strategies for expanding access to care, integrating services, addressing workforce challenges and leveraging innovation to improve outcomes across the behavioral health continuum.
