Acorn Health appoints new CEO

Richard Hallworth has been appointed president and CEO of Coral Gables, Fla.-based behavioral health provider Acorn Health.

Mr. Hallworth previously served as CEO of Corizon, a provider of privatized correctional health services at the state and local levels, according to an Aug. 17 news release. He also served in both chief operating and chief financial roles at Tufts Health Plan.

As CEO, Mr. Hallworth will oversee Acorn’s center-based and in-home services using behavioral analysis therapy to treat children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in more than 70 centers across Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.
