The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration conducted the investigation following reports from a registered nurse at River Point Behavioral Health that she was punched and kicked by a patient in a staff-only workspace, according to a July 25 news release.

OSHA issued River Point Behavioral Health a citation for a serious violation for its failure to provide a workplace free from recognized health and safety hazards which caused, or were likely to cause, serious physical harm, the release said.
