Kansas mental health center names behavioral justice director

Crawford County Mental Health Center in Pittsburg, Kan., appointed Jeffrey Burch, PsyD, its next director of behavioral justice services.

Dr. Burch is a licensed psychologist who has previously worked at Ascension Via Christi and Pittsburg State University, both in Pittsburg, and Pawnee Mental Health Services in Manhattan, Kan., according to a July 10 news release from the health center. He has also worked with the Kansas National Alliance on Mental Illness board of directors and steering committee.

In this role, Dr. Burch will work with community partners across the judicial, legal and correctional fields to address the mental health needs of the community. He will also oversee the development of a psychological testing department, the release said.
