WVU Medicine gets $2.2M grant to expand outpatient behavioral health

West Virginia University Medicine’s Wheeling and Reynolds Memorial hospitals received a $2.2 million grant from the Renner Foundation to enhance mental and behavioral health programs, according to a July 10 report from FOX affiliate WTOV.

The money will be used to implement an integrated behavioral health service, enabling the expansion of outpatient behavioral health services at Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale and integration within the primary care network, according to the report. 

Reynolds’ current behavioral health program will double its existing space by moving from its current location to another building on Reynolds’ campus. The system also plans to implement outpatient programs at the Wheeling (W.Va.) Health Clinic and at another facility in Glen Dale, according to the report.
