County officials expect the projects to help serve at least 440 new individuals each year and give facilities the capacity to serve thousands of residents, according to the publication.
The $8 million comes from the county’s American Rescue Plan Act allocation and will be disbursed to the following organizations, the majority of which serve youths and families, the Times reported:
1. Evergreen Recovery Centers- New Evergreen Manor Family Center
2. Volunteers of America Western Washington- Lynnwood Neighborhood Center
3. Edmonds School District- behavioral health services expansion
4. Housing Hope-Tomorrow’s Hope Child Development Center
5. Pioneer Human Services- North Sound Behavioral Health Facility
