The interactive screening program will be staffed by mental health counselors from Vital WorkLife to provide feedback to anonymous users and connect them to available mental health services, according to an April 17 news release from the mental health provider.
More than 185 organizations are using the platform.
“Real and perceived barriers to engaging in mental health services lead many healthcare workers to avoid addressing their own mental health needs,” Christine Yu Moutier, MD, chief medical officer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, said in the release. “We must prioritize the mental health of our front-line medical professionals.”
